What To Expect

A full day trek with Orangutan Trekking would begin with an early morning start, meeting your guide at your guesthouse after breakfast. From there, you will be walked to the entrance of Gunung Leuser National Park to begin your trek.

The trek will take you deep into the rainforest, where you will have the opportunity to observe the fascinating Orangutan in its natural habitat. Along the way, you will stop for a fruit platter and to admire breathtaking views, observe other wildlife, and enjoy the tranquil sounds of the jungle. Your knowledgeable guide will provide insights into the different plant and animal species found in the area.

After 2-3 hours of trekking, you will arrive at a panoramic spot where you will enjoy a lunch prepared by a local cook. After lunch, you will continue your trek to the river where you can relax and enjoy the river before experiencing traditional rafting back down the river. As you float down the river, you can take in the stunning scenery and listen to the sounds of the jungle. 

You will arrive back at your guesthouse in the late afternoon, feeling refreshed and invigorated from a day spent in nature.
